Instructions:
Mix the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl
Bring the egg, melted butter, buttermilk, and vanilla extract together in a different bowl and mix them with a whisk
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together until they are just mixed
Make sure not to mix it too much; a few lumps are fine
Put a nonstick skillet on medium heat and use cooking spray or butter to lightly coat it
For each fish-face pancake, pour 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the pan
Make fish-face shapes out of the batter with the back of a spoon
To make the fish scales and fish eyes out of chocolate chips, put different pieces of fruit on top of each pancake
If the pancakes start to bubble on top, flip them over and cook for another one to two minutes, or until they are golden brown
Take the pancakes out of the pan and give them a minute or two to cool down
Put some whipped cream on top of every pancake to make fish hair
You can add maple syrup to your fruity fish-face pancakes if you like
Have fun with your tasty and cute fruity fish-face pancakes
